  • Carolyn provides both individual and group supervision. Supervision with Carolyn includes case consultation as well as experiential opportunities to explore how art can be a beneficial tool in your therapy practice. Carolyn brings an intellectual and creative lens to the work with a perspective informed by art therapy and over a decade of experience working with a range of clients.

    Current rate for supervision is $120 for an individual 55 minute session or $65 for group supervision.

  • Whether in the form of an art class or "paint party" or a wellness oriented mindfulness and art experience, Whirled Tree Arts can help bring a fun and creative experience to your school, workplace or private party. Carolyn has facilitated groups for non-profits such as Miles for Migraine and Love Your Brain as well as universities including the University of Vermont. She also teaches private art classes from her home in Underhill, Vermont. These classes are currently booked through AirBnB.   • Carolyn has taught courses at Castleton University and the Community College of Vermont and has facilitated professional development trainings at a number of organizations with a focus on art and mindfulness as tools for wellbeing and supporting social emotional learning in classrooms, the prevention of burnout and understanding trauma.   • Carolyn received her 200 hour yoga teaching certification in 2016 after over 10 years of personal practice. She often draw upon the theories and practices of yoga and meditation in both individual therapy sessions and in professional development trainings.

  • In addition to her work as an educator, supervisor and art therapist, Carolyn maintains her own art making practice creating landscapes, house and barn portraits and creating illustrations for children's books and magazines. You can see some of her work here.
